What a Friend we have in Jesus

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His amazing love and care for us. Question: Are you in need of peace today? Are you forfeiting peace by any chance? Are you carrying needless pain? I listened to a message which said “Are you tired of playing God?” That it’s hard to be God – You have to figure out how everything will work, how all will be in place, how to carry the burdens and loads, guard against accidents, and heartbreaks and all. Whew, what a lot of work! Why don’t you come to the Lord, and lay it all at His feet? Let God be God in your life. Remember, the range of things you can commit to God is – everything.

Primary Text: Matthew 11v28-30 (AMP)
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good -- not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.” Matthew 11v28-30 (AMP)

Supplementary Texts: What a Friend we have in Jesus
“What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry, everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged – Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful, Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden, Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge – Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee, Thou wilt find a solace there.

Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised, Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing, All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded, There will be no need for prayer –
Rapture, praise, and endless worship, Will be our sweet portion there.”
