Called (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His loving kindness and tender mercies over our lives.

Primary Text
“Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God …” 1 Corinthians 1v1 (NIV)

By the will of God, for as many of us as have accepted Jesus as our Lord and personal Saviour, we become children of God. And God has a plan for our lives (Jeremiah 29v11), and would like to lead us along the best pathway for our lives (Psalm 32v8). One might ask, what is God’s plan for my life? Now, while we are all different, and God has the work He will have each of us do, the Scripture points out God’s will for us on how we ought to live lives that would bring glory to the Lord. For instance, 1 Timothy 3v16 (AMP) tells us that “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in comformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Through Scripture, we learn such things as “See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. Do not stifle the Holy Spirit. Do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. Stay away from every kind of evil.” (1 Thessalonians 5v15-22 (NLT). The Bible is full of wisdom for each and every single one of us. Are you a hearer and not a doer of the Word? Do you listen and then do as you wish?

Supplementary Text
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.” Romans 12v2 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. I thank You for You Word. Father, I pray that I will not only be a hearer, but also a doer of Your Word in Jesus name, amen.
