Jesus our Lord

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His faithfulness, lovingkindness and His tendermercies. Thank God for Jesus our Lord.

Primary Text
“To the church (assembly) of God which is in Corinth, to those consecrated and purified and made holy in Christ Jesus, [who are] selected and called to be saints (God’s people), together with all those who in any place call upon and give honor to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:” 1 Corinthians 1v2 (AMP)

“He is Lord, He is Lord, amen, He has risen from the dead, He is Lord, every knee shall bow, every tongue confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord” goes one song. As believers, we have “One Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4v5), our Lord being our Saviour and Master - Jesus Christ, and it is amazing how many brothers and sisters we have in Christ. And while He is our Lord, He said – “You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do. I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]” (John 15v14-15, AMP). Are you a friend of the Lord? Do you follow His commands?

Supplementary Text
“Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything you do. Try to please them all the time, not just when they are watching you. Serve them sincerely because of your reverent fear of the Lord. Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ. But if you do what is wrong, you will be paid back for the wrong you have done. For God has no favorites.” Colossians 3v22-25 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You Jesus for calling us Your friends and making known to us what the Father has said. We pray for the grace to be Your friends by doing that which You have commanded. We pray for the grace to work enthusiastically in all that we do, and to do it as unto You and not to man. Forgive us o God in anyway we have been grumblers, complainers and men pleasers. May we bring glory to Your name in all that we do in Jesus name we pray with thanksgiving, amen.
