Give Thanks
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
We thank God for yet another day, for His goodness, His mercies, for
the salvation of our souls.
Primary Text
“Giving thanks to the Father, Who has qualified and made us fit to
share the portion which is the inheritance of the saints (God’s holy
people) in the Light. [The Father] has delivered and drawn us to
Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has
transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, In Whom we
have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness
of our sins.” Colossians 1v12-14 (AMP)
There are so many things that we can give thanks to God for. Before we
finish saying thank you for one thing, we have cause to say thanks for
another. Let us adopt an attitude of thanksgiving, even as 1
Thessalonians 5v18 (AMP) tells us “Thank [God] in everything [no
matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks],
for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the
Revealer and Mediator of that will].” But beloved, one of the greatest
things you can thank God for is the salvation of your soul. This
salvation is not because we were the best or did good things, but by
His grace He saved us, and rescued us. Because we believe in His Son
Jesus Christ, we have eternal life. We have been brought from the
power of darkness, and from hopelessness into the kingdom of light.
Hallelujah. If people had their say in the matter, we might not be
saved today. If we personally were to look at ourselves, we probably
wouldn’t want us saved. But beloved, thank God it’s not about others,
or about what you think, but the faith you have in God and the
provision through His Son that He has made. John 1v12-13 (NLT) saying
“But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to
become the children of God. They are reborn – not with physical birth
resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from
God.” Hallelujah!
Supplementary Text
“always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the
inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the light. For He
has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into
the Kingdom of His dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our
sins.” Colossians 1v12-14 (NLT)
