Start with God

Hello everyone,

A happy happy happy new year to you. I pray this year is a wonderful one for you and yours in Jesus name, amen. Even as you continue in this year, this is an encouragement for you to start with God.

Primary Text
“in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3v6 (KJV)

“Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3v6 (NLT)

“Listen for GOD’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go: He’s the One who will keep you on track.” Proverbs 3v6 (MSG)

The Bible here encourages us to acknowledge God in all, not just some of our ways. Some of the synonyms for acknowledge include admit, recognize, allow, accept. We see David doing this in 1 Samuel 30, when he and his men came home to Ziklag and found that there had been a raid on their home, and all who were there at the time of the attack including their wives were taken. The Bible records in verse 8 that “And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” (AMP). Jeremiah 33v3 (AMP) tells us “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand.)” Beloved, now more than ever before, take time to seek God in all that you do. Trust in His plans, His ways, and His thoughts towards you. Lean on Him, defer to Him and let Him direct your path.

Supplementary Text
“Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” Proverbs 3v5-6 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for seeing us to this new year. We thank You for the salvation of our souls and how You are willing to direct us. We pray for the grace and wisdom to acknowledge You in all that we do and we thank You in advance for Your divine guidance now and always, in Jesus name, amen.
