Christ, the wisdom of God
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We give glory and praise to the only wise God, our Father, who was and is and is to come.
Primary Text
"But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, ...]" 1 Corinthians 1v30 (AMP)
Wisdom can be defined as "the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment, or insight." http://dictionary. reference.com/browse/wisdom?s= t. And we know that Jesus is the truth (John 14v6), as He is the wisdom of God. It is not enough to know about the truth, but to know the just judgment for action. Jesus is the wisdom of God. And yet, many still stumble at this truth! As Paul, inspired by God wrote in 1 Corinthians 2v6-8 (MSG) "We, of course, have plenty of wisdom to pass on to you once you get your feet on firm spiritual ground, but it's not popular wisdom, the fashionable wisdom of high-priced experts that will be out-of-date in a year or so. God's wisdom is something mysterious that goes deep into the interior of His purposes. You don't find it lying around on the surface. It's not the latest message, but more like the oldest - what God determined as the way to bring out His best in us, long before we ever arrived on the scene. The experts of our day haven't a clue about what this eternal plan is. If they had, they wouldn't have killed the Master of the God-designed life on a cross." Jesus is the wisdom of God. Have you accepted God's wisdom and way of being made right with Him? Have you accepted the Word of God, as the wisdom of God to have the final say on how you live your life?
Supplementary Text:
"The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.' So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world's brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in His wisdom saw to it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it's all nonsense. But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God." 1 Corinthians 1v18-24 (NLT)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word and for Your wisdom. We pray for those who do not know You, that You might open their hearts as You did Lydia's (Acts 16v14) in Jesus name we pray, amen.
