… them that love Him

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness, mercy and the salvation of our souls.

Primary Text
“But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].” 1 Corinthians 2v9 (AMP)

Do you love the Lord? Does this show in obedience to Him? We show we love God by obeying His commands, as John 14v23-24 (AMP) “Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him. Anyone who does not [really] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me.” There are so many blessings and things in store for them that love the Lord. Psalm 145v20 (KJV) tells us that “The LORD preserveth all them that love Him: but all the wicked will He destroy.” Deuteronomy 7v9 (KJV) says “Understand, therefore, that the LORD your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps His covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes His unfailing love on those who love Him and obey His commands.” Judges 5v31 (KJV) says “So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love Him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might….” And a verse many of us are familiar with, Romans 8v28 (NLT) says “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” Amen. Do you love God? He has good things in store for you. He preserves and protects you, He lavishes His unfailing love on you and keeps His covenant for a thousand generations. Hallelujah. God loved the world, and so He sent Jesus to die for us. God loves you. Jesus loves you. The Holy Spirit loves you. Bask in that love.

Supplementary Text
“But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God’s love.” Jude 1v20-21 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love for us, and for rejoicing over us with singing. Help us to keep ourselves in the love of God, and grant us the grace to do all of Your will, all of the time, in Jesus name, amen.
