To God alone be the glory!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for His goodness, His faithfulness, and grace over our lives.
Primary Text
“So
that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence
of God.” 1 Corinthians 1v29 (AMP)
Indeed,
salvation is not based on works, wisdom, physical beauty or strength, the
nobility of one’s birth or intellect, or anything with which one can boast of.
It is by the grace of God that we are saved (Ephesians 2v8). Only to God most
High is the glory, the honour, power and praise. 1 Corinthians 4v7 (NLT) says
“… What do you have that God hasn’t given you? And if everything you have is
from God, why boast as though it were not a gift?” Beloved, check yourself,
have you begun to be lifted up within you and think that it is because of
something you have done or have or your connections that you have gotten where
you are? If you remember 1 Corinthians 1v31 (AMP) says “So then, as it is
written, Let him who boasts and proudly rejoices and glories, boast and proudly
rejoice and glory in the Lord.” One thing that God was sure to tell the Israelites

Supplementary Text
“Be
careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe His
commands, His laws and His decrees that I am giving you this day. Otherwise,
when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, and
when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all
you have is multiplied, then your heart will become proud and you will forget
the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. He
led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless
land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard
rock. He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had
never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with
you. You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have
produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is He who
gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He
swore to your ancestors, as it is today. If you ever forget the LORD your God
and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you
today that you will surely be destroyed.” Deuteronomy 8v11-19 (NIV).
