As God Sees!
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for another day that He has made, which we can rejoice and be glad in. How do
you see yourself today? How does the Lord see you? The Lord wrote to the angel
of the Church in Laodicea, after telling them that they were lukewarm, that:
Primary Text
“Because
thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and
knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked: I counsel thee to buy of Me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be
rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Revelations 3v17-18 (KJV)
The
way God sees is different from the way man sees. Man looks on the appearance,
but God looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16v7). The Church in Laodicea thought they
were rich, increased with goods, and had need of nothing. But the Lord saw them
in a different light. Spiritually, they were far from rich. Furthermore, they
were not seeing properly. They did not see their true state. They thought they
were fine, but they were not. May the Lord help us to see ourselves as we
really are and appreciate our need for Him in Jesus name, amen.
Supplementary Texts
“HO,
every one that thirstieth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money;
come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without
price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that
which is not bread? and your labour for that
which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul
delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your
soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” Isaiah
55v1&2 (KJV)
“The
law of the LORD is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the
commandment of the LORD is pure,
enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is
clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous
altogether. More to be desired are they
than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Moreover by them is Thy servant warned: and
in keeping of them there is great
reward.” Psalm 19v7-11 (KJV)
Prayer
Father,
I thank You so much for Your Word. Father, search me and know my heart, try me,
and know my thoughts; and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in
the way everlasting, in Jesus name, amen.
