Take time to pray

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. There are many circumstances and things that can make us anxious, but God says:

Primary Text
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7 (AMP)

The Bible says “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” (1 Peter 5v7). God cares for you. He loves you. He understands you. He is a present help in time of trouble (Psalm 46v1). God is able to handle all of your fears, worries, problems, and situations. What you are going to tell Him is nothing that is beyond Him. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, all-mighty. Don’t be scared to come to God. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you (James 4v8). What is that thing that you are worried about? Take it to the Lord in prayer. Take time out to pray. Do you have a lot of things lined up, a lot of “important” things lined up – pray about it. Let His peace keep your heart and mind in Him. And don’t forget to be thankful. Remember His eyes are upon you and His ears are attentive to your cry (Psalm 34v15). Talk it over with Him, and know that it is well. If you are still anxious, keep on praying… Let Him ease that worry away, but take time out to pray! Indeed I am learning once again to take even the littlest things to Him instead of fretting or thinking or “prinking (pray/thinking) about it – just pray!

Supplementary Text
“Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and He said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and He became anguished and distressed. He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with Me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with His face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not mine.” Then He returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with Me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!” Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, Your will be done.” When He returned to them again, He found them sleeping, for they couldn’t keep their eyes open. So He went to pray a third time, saying the same things again.” Matthew 26v36-44 (NLT)

Prayer

Father, I thank You for You care for me, in Jesus name, amen.
