Do Your Assignment

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His plan for each of our lives. Ephesians 2v10 (Classic Amplified Version) says “For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” The New Living Translation says “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”

Beloved, it is important that we walk in God’s plan for our lives. In John 21v15-19, we see how the Lord Jesus gave some instructions to the apostle Peter and let him know about how he would die. Verses 21 and 22 then record of Peter asking of John: “Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou Me.” Beloved, while we need each other as a body of Christ, it is also important that you do not get distracted with the roles of others or what they are or aren’t doing. The question is, are you doing what the Lord will have you do?

The beautiful thing is that God wants to lead us in the path that we should take. Psalm 32v8-9 (The Living Bible) says “I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress. Don’t be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!” We thank God as well for the Spirit of God who teaches us all things, and leads and guides us into all the truth (John 14v26; John 16v13; Romans 8v14).

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word this day. Father, please give each of us clarity of purpose, to know Your plan for our lives, and the grace to carry it out without complaining, grumbling, jealousy or comparison in Jesus name, amen.
