It is well worth it

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Beloved, it is well worth it to work for the Lord and the Lord would have us to show love towards others. Hebrews 6v10-12 (The Living Bible) says “For God is not unfair. How can He forget your hard work for Him, or forget the way you used to show your love for Him—and still do—by helping His children? And we are anxious that you keep right on loving others as long as life lasts, so that you will get your full reward. Then, knowing what lies ahead for you, you won’t become bored with being a Christian nor become spiritually dull and indifferent, but you will be anxious to follow the example of those who receive all that God has promised them because of their strong faith and patience.”

Indeed, we need to persevere in well-doing. It can be easy to get discouraged and draw back from showing love to others, especially if you feel worn-out, used, betrayed or unappreciated. It is also easy to draw back if we do not see any benefit in it for us. But our love for the Lord is reflected in the way we communicate with and relate with others. 1 John 3v17 (Classic Amplified Version) for example says “But if anyone has this world’s goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother and fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live and remain in him?” Indeed, as a child of God we cannot afford to see our brother in need and we having the ability to help, not lend a helping hand.
Sometimes, it doesn’t have to be material things that we give. We need to continue to share and help others with their spiritual growth. Galatians 6v9-10 (Classic Amplified Version) says “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers].”
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. Help me not to be weary in well doing. Purify my motives Lord, and help me to do things for the glory of Your name in Jesus name, amen.
