His Sacrifice

Hello everyone,

How are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Thank God for His love, His mercies, His grace and His goodness. We thank God indeed for His great and steadfast love for the world and for we His children. Even as we approach Easter, it is good to reflect on what the Lord has done for us, and on what it symbolizes for we as Christians and for the world at large.

John 3v16 is a foundational scripture that tells us of the love of God. The King James Version says “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” The Living Bible puts it this way “For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Hallelujah. Thank God that access to this eternal life that God gave is for everyone and anyone, all we have to do is to believe.

For even greater clarity, let’s look at verses 16 to 18 from the Message Bible: “This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending His Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in Him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust Him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to Him.” Beloved, God loves you and He sent His Son to die for you. Have you accepted and believed in God’s son and His sacrifice for you?

Prayer

Father, we thank You so much for this day that You have made, and we thank You for Your love which You have bestowed upon us. We thank You for that love which is shown in the fact that even while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Thank You so much eternal rock of ages. We pray that with all saints, we would truly come to know the love of Christ which passeth mere understanding and knowledge in Jesus name. We pray that we would not be ashamed of this gospel, but will spread it to all in Jesus name, amen. Thank You for the power to be Your witnesses o God. We pray for those that do not know You, we pray You will send labourers to them in Jesus name, amen.
