His Work, My Work (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Today, we continue to look at our work and God’s work. Indeed, there are things that are within His control and others that we are expected to do. In Acts 1v6-8 (King James Version), we see that to know times and seasons, is in God’s power; but we have been empowered through the power of the Holy Spirit to witness and tell others about Him: “When they therefore were come together, they asked of Him, saying, Lord, wilt Thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Hallelujah. Again, it is for us to bring God into our situations, by casting our cares unto Him, and knowing that He will sustain us. Psalm 55v22 (Classic Amplified Version) saying “Cast your burden on the Lord [releasing the weight of it] and He will sustain you; He will never allow the [consistently] righteous to be moved (made to slip, fall, or fail).” I love as well that the Lord wants to give us direction and guidance. Proverbs 3v5-6 (New Living Translation) says “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”

And a verse of scripture I really like tells us not to be anxious, but to pray, to trust in the Lord and God will guard us with His peace: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4v6-7, The Living Bible). Praise the Lord. Hallelujah.

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word this day. We thank You for the things that You would have us do and we bless You for them. We pray that we would do what You require of us and not be slack in it, and at the same time, allow You to be God in our lives, and do that which You alone can do. Let us have faith and depend on You to bring to pass what You will. We thank You and honour You in Jesus name, amen.
