He is risen!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this
day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. There is a song which goes – I am
serving a living God, His name is Jesus Christ, He died, and rose,
and gave me victory, I have victory. I am reminded of another which goes – He’s
alive amen, He’s alive, Jesus is alive, forever He’s alive amen.
Hallelujah. Indeed Jesus came and died, but He rose again, amen. 1
Corinthians 15v3-4 (King James Version) saying “For I delivered unto you first
of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according
to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose
again the third day according to the scriptures:”
Romans 4v25 (Amplified
Version) says of Jesus that “Who was betrayed and put to death because of our
misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making
our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God].” Jesus died
for us, was brought back to life by God, and is now an Advocate (1 John 2v1)
for us, our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4v14), who lives forever to make
intercession for us with the Father (Hebrews 7v25). Hallelujah. The apostle
Paul addressed some who said there was no resurrection of the dead saying “And
if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have
testified about God that He raised Christ from the dead. But He did
not raise Him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not
raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been
raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who
have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in
Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been
raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since
death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a
man.” 1 Corinthians 15v14-21, (NIV).
Thank God that we serve a
living God – for it was impossible for death to keep Him captive: ““Fellow
Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to
you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through Him, as you
yourselves know. This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and
foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put Him to death by
nailing Him to the cross. But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from
the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on
Him.” Acts 2v22-24 (New International Version)
Prayer
Father, we thank You
because Christ is risen. We thank You that one day He will come
back for His church and we will be raptured. Thank You, thank You, thank You in
Jesus name we pray, amen.
