Resurrection (3)
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this
day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15v22-23 (Amplified
Version) tells us that “For just as [because of their union of nature] in Adam
all people die, so also [by virtue of their union of nature] shall all in
Christ be made alive. But each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah)
[is] the firstfruits, then those who are Christ’s [own will
be resurrected] at His coming.” The New Living Translation puts it
this ways: “Just as everyone dies because we all belong to Adam, everyone who
belongs to Christ will be given new life. But there is an order to
this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the harvest; then all
who belong to Christ will be raised when He comes back.”
Indeed Christ is our
risen Lord – the first to rise from the dead. Colossians 1v18 (King James Version)
says “And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the
firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.”
Revelations 1v5 (King James Version) also tells us that “And from Jesus Christ,
who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince
of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins
in His own blood,” Indeed, Jesus is the “first to be brought back to life.” And
we too shall be resurrected at His coming. Revelations 2v8 (King James
Version) says “…. These things saith the first and the last, which was dead,
and is alive;” We serve a risen Lord, hallelujah!
Acts 26v22-23 (Amplified
Version) says “[But] to this day I have had the help which comes from God [as
my ally], and so I stand here testifying to small and great alike, asserting
nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses declared would come to pass – That
the Christ (the Anointed One) must suffer and that He, by being the first to
rise from the dead, would declare and show light both to the [Jewish] people
and the to the Gentiles.”
Prayer
Father we thank You. We
thank You because we know You. We thank You because Jesus
is resurrected and one day we Your children shall be as well. Thank
You Most High God. We pray You will send labourers into Your vineyard, that all
men might come to the knowledge of You, in Jesus name, amen.
