Add Love (Charity) [2]
Dearly Beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. We continue our study on 2 Peter 1v5-7 (MSG) which says “So don’t lose a minute in building on what you’ve been given,
complementing your basic faith with good character, spiritual understanding,
alert discipline, passionate patience, reverent wonder, warm friendliness, and
generous love, …” Beloved, we have a very great love. A love so great that it would die
for us, and it wasn’t because we were good at the time, for Romans 5v6-8 (NIV)
says “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ
died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person,
though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God
demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ
died for us.” Hallelujah.
Beloved “See how
very much our Father loves, us, for He calls us His children, and that is what
we are!...” (1 John 3v1, NLT). Beloved, God loves you. Romans 8v37
lets us know that we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. If there is one
thing that should resound with you today, is that God the Father, the Son, and
the Holy Spirit love you very much. If you are a believer – remain secure in
this love. If you knew the Lord but went away, come back to His love, and if
you have never had a relationship with the Lord, no need to waste one more
moment – He loves you and is calling you to Himself.
Prayer
Father, I thank You
for Your Word. From Ephesians 3v17-21 (AMP) I pray that “May Christ
through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent
home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded
securely on love, That you may have the power and be strong to
apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people,
the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and
depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through
experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere
knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being]
unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine
Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” Now all glory to God, who is able,
through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than
we might ask or think. Glory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through
all generations forever and ever, in Jesus name, we pray, believing and with
thanksgiving, amen.
