C’est Nada!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Everybody say – C’est nada! That’s what the suffering of this present time is in comparison to the glory that shall be revealed in us. You reckon!

Primary Text: Romans 8v18
“[But what of that?] For I consider that the sufferings of this present time (this present life) are not worth being compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us and for us and conferred on us!” Romans 8v18 (AMP)

“That’s why I don’t think there’s any comparison between the present hard times and the coming good times.” Romans 8v18 (MSG)

What have you been for Christ in the past? Paul says I will continue to be bold for Christ as I have been in the past. Don’t let the “sufferings” get to you. Don’t back down from following the Lord. Even Jesus went through sufferings. But let us fix our eyes on Him and endure as He did (Hebrews 12v1-3). Let us go to Him with our burdens and cares, and take His on. Paul says all that He has gone through has helped spread the Good News. May all we go through, and all our lives, continue to bring glory to God in Jesus name, amen. Remember, His yoke is easy, and His burden is light ☺

Supplementary Text:
“And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened o me here has helped to spread the Good News. For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ. And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear. It’s true that some are preaching out of jealousy and rivalry. But others preach about Christ with pure motives. They preach because they love me, for they know I have been appointed to defend the Good News. Those others do not have pure motives as they preach about Christ. They preach with selfish ambition, not sincerely, intending to make my chains more painful to me. But that doesn’t matter. Whether their motives are false or genuine, the message about Christ is being preached either way, so I rejoice. And I will continue to rejoice. For I know that as you pray for me and the Spirit of Jesus Christ helps me, this will lead to my deliverance. For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.” Philippians 1v12-24 (NLT)

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good -- not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.” Matthew 11v28-30 (AMP)

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Hebrews 12v1-3 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for this day, and pray that my every second, minute, hour, situation will give glory to Your name and lead to the spread of the Good News in Jesus name, amen. Grant me the grace to endure every suffering and to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, in Jesus name, amen. Strengthen me by Your Spirit, may I walk in and be led by Your Spirit always in Jesus name, amen.
