A Witness!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text: Romans 8v16
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:” Romans 8v16 (KJV)
“The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.” Romans 8v16 (AMP)
“For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.” Romans 8v16 (NLT)
“God’s Spirit touches our spirits and confirms who we really are. We know who He is, and we know who we are: Father and children.” Romans 8v16 (MSG)
“And the Spirit Himself joins with our spirits to say we are God’s children.” Romans 8v16 (NCV)
The Bible tells us that the devil is the accuser of the brethren (Revelations 12v10). Ever feel as if, wow, I am not a child of God, God doesn’t love me, I won’t make it to heaven … While the devil accuses the brethren, we have the Spirit of God who testifies, and bears witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God ☺ Because you are going through a tough time, doesn’t mean that God hates you, or doesn’t love you anymore. Look to the Cross, He sent Jesus to die for you, and He has given you His Spirit to be with you and in you. He loves you very much. Let the Spirit continue to affirm this to you ☺
Supplementary Text:
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever --The Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you.” John 14v16-18 (AMP)
“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God’s own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).” Ephesians 4v30 (AMP)
“But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are His,” and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.” 2 Timothy 2v19 (NLT)
“What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one – for God Himself has given us right standing with Himself. Who then will condemn us? No one – for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8v31-39 (NLT)
Prayer
Thank You Father in Jesus name, amen.
