WHOSOEVER
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text: Romans 8v29-30
“For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.” Romans 8v29-30 (KJV)
“For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory.” Romans 8v29-30 (NLT)
“God knew what He was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love Him along the same lines as the life of His Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity He restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in Him. After God made that decision of what His children should be like, He followed it up by calling people by name. After He called them by name, He set them on a solid basis with Himself. And then, after getting them established, He stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what He had begun.” Romans 8v29-30 (MSG)
God knows them that are His. Salvation is a gift of God. For “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?” ( Proverbs 20v9). But it is God, through His Son Jesus Christ that we have life, and righteousness, and peace with God, hallelujah. God knew His people in advance, and chose them to become like His Son. Having known them already, and chosen them to be conformed to the image of His Son, He now called them to Him. Remember Jesus said, “No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw Him: and I will raise Him up at the last day.” John 6v44 (KJV). Again He said, “You didn’t choose Me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using My name.” (John 15v16, NLT). Having called them, He gave them right standing with Him, and then His glory. Hallelujah. Now you may say, but if God already knows His people, is it a person’s fault when they don’t follow Him? Remember God is Alpha and Omega, so He knows the end from the beginning. Remember:
Supplementary Text:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deed should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” John 3v16-22 (KJV)
“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.” 2 Peter 3v9 (AMP)
So it’s the WHOSOEVER as we see in John 3v16 that makes the difference. God knows the whosever that will accept Jesus and run this race and live this life for Him… Are you going to be one of the whosever?
Prayer
Father, thank You, thank You, thank You for everything in Jesus name, amen.
