Our Saviour

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy Easter ☺.

Primary Text: Romans 8v34
“Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8v34 (KJV)

“Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?” Romans 8v34 (AMP)

“Who can say God’s people are guilty? No one, because Christ Jesus died, but He was also raised from the dead, and now He is on God’s right side, appealing to God for us.” Romans 8v34 (NCV)

Christ laid down His life for us. He took our place, and took our sins upon Him. And now, through faith in Him, we have peace with God. “Who then will condemn us? No one – for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us” Romans 8v34 (NLT). Imagine two friends, and one did something horribly wrong and had to pay the penalty for it. But his friend says, I will take the blame, I will pay the price for you, and he does. And so the innocent took the place of the guilty, and now the guilty one doesn’t have to pay that price anymore. That’s what Jesus did for us.

Supplementary Text:
“Therefore doth My Father love Me, because I lay down My life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of My Father.” John 10v17-18 (KJV)

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, [yet when] He was afflicted, He was submissive and opened not His mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He opened not His mouth. By oppression and judgment He was taken away; and as for His generation, who among them considered that He was cut off out of the land of the living [stricken to His death] for the transgression of my [Isaiah’s] people, to whom the stroke was due? And they assigned Him a grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in His death, although He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. Yet it was the will of the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief and made Him sick. When You and He make His life an offering for sin [and He has risen from the dead, in time to come], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, and the will and pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand. He shall see [the fruit] of the travail of His soul and be satisfied; by His knowledge of Himself [which He possesses and imparts to others] shall My [uncompromisingly] righteous One, My Servant, justify many and make many righteous (upright and in right standing with God), for He shall bear their iniquities and their guilt [with the consequences, says the Lord]. Therefore will I divide Him a portion with the great [kings and rulers], and He shall divide the spoil with the mighty, because He poured out His life unto death, and [He let Himself] be regarded as a criminal and be numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore [and took away] the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors (the rebellious).” Isaiah 53v5-12 (AMP)

Prayer

Lord God Almighty, we celebrate You, we love You, we adore You, we are proud of You, we glorify and honor You now and always in Jesus name, amen.
