Heirs!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. I remember this song we sing which says: We are heirs of the Father, we are joint heirs with the Son, we are children of the Kingdom, we are family, we are one. Hallelujah! The Bible says that:
Primary Text: Romans 8v17
“And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified together.” Romans 8v17 (KJV)
“And if we are [His] children, then we are [His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His inheritance with Him]; only we must share His suffering if we are to share His glory.” Romans 8v17 (AMP)
“And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.” Romans 8v17 (NLT)

Not only have we been given sonship with the Father, He expressly states that we are His heirs as well, and joint heirs with Jesus. Basically, He isn’t joking. He has adopted us as His own, and is not going to make it look like, you are a child but you do not get the full thing. Now if you are a child of God, you are really a child of God. You know how some people can get away with things with parents, but the real children cannot, well the same thing, we are children and children indeed. We share the inheritance, but also the sufferings ☺ We are true, bona fide children of God.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. “Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath:” Hebrews 6v17 (KJV)
“That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3v7 (KJV)
Prayer
Father, we thank You so much for this day. We thank You so much for making us heirs of salvation. We thank You for the power to be sons of God. We pray that even as we are joint-heirs with Christ, that we would gracefully bear His sufferings as well in Jesus name, amen. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
