The Love of Christ
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for another day that He has made, that we can rejoice and be glad in.
Primary Text: Romans 8v35
“Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?” Romans 8v35 (NLT)
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Romans 8v35 (KJV)
“Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?” Romans 8v35 (AMP)
Jesus loves you very very very much. Don’t ever let the situation you are going through put a wedge between you and the Lord. Don’t let guilt and shame keep you back. Run to Him. Be open with Him. Accept and embrace the love of God; don’t turn it down. Don’t let people say Jesus doesn’t love you. Don’t let the devil tell you that either. Don’t let your past dictate and overshadow God’s love for you. Just because you are going through a tough time doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you. Remember Daniel in the lions’ den, Joseph sold into slavery, Esther and her people who were going to be killed, … Their going through these experiences didn’t mean God did not love them… When Lazarus died, and Jesus didn’t come till he was in the grave for 4 days, it didn’t negate the fact that Jesus loved Lazarus, and Mary and Martha… How do you respond to Jesus’ love today? Do you accept it, embrace it, or reject it? Do you love Him in return? How do you show it? How does God view it?
Supplementary Text:
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” Mark 10v21 (KJV)
“Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.” John 11v5 (KJV)
“Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that His hour was come that He should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end.” John 13v1 (KJV)
“Judas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself [make Yourself real] to us and not to the world? Jesus answered, If a person [really] loves Me, he will keep My word [obey My teaching]; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him. Anyone who does not [really] love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but [comes] from the Father Who sent Me.” John 14v22-24 (AMP)
“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us form our sins in His own blood,” Revelations 1v5 (KJV)
Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word this day. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit for loving us in Jesus name, amen.
