A Different Perspective (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“If you’re abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It’s the Spirit of God and His glory in you that brought you to the notice of others.” 1 Peter 4v14 (MSG)

The Lord Jesus said, “Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My name’s sake, because they know not Him that sent Me.” John 15v20-21 (KJV). Jesus was persecuted, misunderstood, insulted, and eventually crucified while He was on earth, and He told His disciples that the servant is not greater than their lord. Because of the name of Christ, and people’s misunderstanding of God, we as believers might have to go through persecutions. What should our reaction be if this is the case?  1 Peter 4v14 (KJV) says “If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part He is evil spoken of, but on your part He is glorified.” Praise the Lord, the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. Though it might be tough, but I pray we get the right perspectives, and like the apostles rejoice that we are “counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.” Acts 5v41 (NIV). In all our tribulations though and our walk with God, let us remember to not grow cold or leave our first love, even as we see this message to the church in Ephesus:

Supplementary Text
“I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for My name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Revelations 2v2-5 (KJV)

Prayer
Heavenly Father we thank You so much for keeping us by Your power through faith. We thank You for the blessing of knowing You and having Your Spirit upon us and in us. We pray though that You will search us, and quicken us in anyway we have moved from loving You and one another, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
