For the time (4)…

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Psalm 102v13 (KJV)

“You will arise and have mercy and loving-kindness for Zion, for it is time to have pity and compassion for her; yes, the set time has come [the moment designated].” Psalm 102v13 (AMP)

“You will arise and have mercy on Jerusalem – and now is the time to pity her, now is the time You promised to help.” Psalm 102v13 (NLT)

We all need the mercy and the favour of the Lord. His mercy and His favour gets us to places we could never reach ourselves. Psalm 44v1-3 (NLT) says “O God, we have heard it with our own ears – our ancestors have told us of all You did in their day, in days long ago: You drove out the pagan nations by Your power and gave all the land to our ancestors. You crushed their enemies and set our ancestors free. They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was Your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from Your face that helped them, for You loved them.” KJV says “because Thou hadst a favour unto them.” Are you troubled, in need of help, strength, a breakthrough – seek the Lord’s hand, His favour, His help, His mercy, His love. Psalm 10v12-13 (KJV) reads “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies.”

“Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].” Hebrews 4v16 (AMP)

Prayer

Heavenly Father we thank You so much for Your Word. Father, we know that we cannot attain anything and are nothing without You. We come boldly before Your throne of grace this day and ask for Your mercy and Your grace in our time of need. Help us today with everything – our walk with You, our relationships, the work of our hands, the ministry You have asked us to do, in Jesus name, amen. We thank You for hearing and accepting us in Jesus name, amen.
