Acknowledging the Father and the Son
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And
hereby do we know that we know Him…” 1 John 2v3 (KJV)
Those
who know God, acknowledge Him and acknowledge Jesus. Many agree that God
exists, but not all believe and acknowledge that He has a Son called Jesus whom
He sent to die for the sins of the world (John 3v16). But we know Him and
acknowledge that He is who He says He is, and that He is the way to the Father
(John 14v6). The truth is that those who do not acknowledge the Son do not have
the Father in them, but a person who is born again, has the Spirit of God and
does that. “Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the
power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be
cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under
the power and influence of the Holy Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12v3, AMP). Because we
know and acknowledge God and Christ, we have eternal life; John 17v3 (AMP)
saying “And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize,
become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and
[likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah),
Whom You have sent.”
Supplementary Text
“Who
is [such a] liar as he who denies that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah)? He is
the antichrist (the antagonist of Christ), who [habitually] denies and refuses
to acknowledge the Father and the Son. No one who [habitually] denies (disowns)
the Son even has the Father. Whoever confesses (acknowledges and has) the Son
has the Father also.” 1 John 2v22-23 (AMP)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You because we know You. We acknowledge You as our God. We declare
Jesus is the Christ, who came to die for us and wash us clean from our sins. We
thank You for the eternal life that we have – knowing You and the Son. We thank
You for the Spirit of God on the inside of us and with us. Blessed be Your holy
name forevermore, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
