Fullness of Joy
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And
hereby do we know that we know Him…” 1 John 2v3 (KJV)
One
of the incredible benefits of knowing God is fullness of joy; a joy
unspeakable, indescribable, and present. This joy is not dependent on
circumstances or situations. On the contrary, one might even be in the midst of
serious troubles and problems, but there is still the joy of the Lord in us. As
we see in Galatians 5v22-23, joy is something that is produced from the
presence of and the control of the Holy Spirit over our lives: “But the fruit
of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love,
joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness,
goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility),
self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that
can bring a charge].” We also experience a fullness of joy when we get answers
to our prayers, John 16v24 (AMP) telling us that “Up to this time you have not
asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I AM]; but now ask
and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight)
may be full and complete.“ Beloved, are you in need of something, ask the
Father, and keep on asking in the name of Jesus!
Supplementary Text
“These
trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and
pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it – and your faith is
far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after
being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and
glory and honor on the day of His return. You love Him even though you have
never seen Him; though not seeing Him, you trust Him; and even now you are
happy with the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven itself.” 1 Peter 1v7-8
(TLB).
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven. May we be truly filled with joy and
with Your Spirit in Jesus name, amen.
