Study
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Study
and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by
trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and
accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of
Truth.” 2 Timothy 2v15 (AMP)
From
a young age or since we became believers, many of us have heard of the
importance of reading the Word of God. But how many of us actually take time to
open our Bibles and study them each and every single day? We know it is
important, but sometimes the day gets so busy that it is crowded out of our
daily affairs. We forget that the key to true prosperity, peace, success,
guidance, growth, fellowship and a successful Christian life comes from our
knowledge and application of the Word of God. 2 Peter 1v3 (AMP) says “May grace
(God’s favor) and peace (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual
prosperity, and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts)
be multiplied to you in [the full, personal, precise and correct] knowledge of
God and of Jesus our Lord.” – grace and peace be multiplied unto you. The
Psalmist said, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119v105 (KJV).
Supplementary Text
“Every
Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for
instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and
discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living,
in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose and action), So that the man of
God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for
every good work.” 2 Timothy 3v16-17 (AMP)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for revealing to us Your will and Your ways through Your Word.
Please grant us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You,
and the grace to study the Word more in Jesus name, amen.
