Be Courageous!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” Psalm 31v24 (NLT)
Primary Text: 1 Corinthians 16:13
“Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; … 1 Corinthians 16v13 (AMP)
The same word that God told Joshua – be of a good courage, is still the same that we are being told today. It takes courage to hearken unto the Word of the Lord especially if those around you are not doing the same. It takes courage to stand out like a sore thumb ☺ like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego did when they would not bow to the golden image. It takes courage to serve God in this generation, but it is wonderful to do so because the assurance we have is that God is with us, and if God be for us, who can be against us? (Rom 8v31). He is the Owner and Creator of Heaven and Earth. There is nothing too hard for Him. He knows the end from the beginning, and the devil is defeated. What’s the worst that can happen? BE courageous! God is faithful, He has not left us comfortless, His Spirit, the Spirit of Him that raised Christ from the dead, is in you and dwells with you (Romans 8v11; John 14v17). God is with you.

“Be strong (confident) and of a good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua1v6-9 (AMP)
“Because God’s children are human beings – made of flesh and blood – the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.” Hebrews 2v14-15 (NLT)
“And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not: nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.” 1 Chronicles 28v20 (KJV)
“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.” Psalm 27v14 (KJV)
“Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! Assuredly not!] So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?” Hebrews 13v5-6 (AMP)
Prayer
Father, we thank You so much for Your Word this day and the fact that we can be courageous for You are with us. Thank You because You will not fail us, or forsake us, or leave us without support, or helpless. Thank You because You will not relax Your hold on us. Thank You because of Your Spirit dwelling with us and in us. Thank You for we have not been given a spirit of bondage again to fear but a Spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba Father. Thank You for You have not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but a spirit of power, and of love, and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore, in Jesus name, amen.
