A Sup!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for today, and for how He is long suffering toward us.

Primary Text: Revelations 3:20-22
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. ” Revelations 3v20-22 (KJV)

One thing about the Lord is that He is long suffering. He sort of gives a long leash, giving people time to change. And He is not looking to have you fail. On the contrary, He wants you to persist and overcome. What is it that you are going through that you think is so tough that you want to give up on the Lord? Knock, knock, knock, open the door to the Lord so He can come in and sup with you and talk with you and dine with you. Let Him show you how He went through the tough times and how He managed to live on this earth without sin. He has given us His Word and His Spirit to be with us. There are a cloud of witnesses surrounding us too… think of them too and their lives and how they persisted and finished their own cause. There is nothing new under the sun! He understands what you are going through. Let Him in.

Supplementary Texts
“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance…. Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, blameless. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;” 2 Peter 3v9, 13-15

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4v12-16

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10v38-39

Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for Your Word. Lord Jesus, I open up my heart to You this day, please come and sup with me and me with You. I lay all my burdens, challenges, weaknesses at Your feet. Grant me the grace to abide in You forever. May I forever please You in everything and in everyway, that when You come back You may have every cause to call us Your good and faithful servants in Jesus name, amen.
