A LOUD NO!!!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset – rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined],....” 1 Peter 5v9 (AMP)
“Whom resist stedfast in the faith,…” 1 Peter 5v9 (KJV)

So what do you do with the devil? Apart from being sober of mind and vigilant, the Word of God tells us to withstand him, resist him, stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. What should you not do: never ever ever give up, or say, oh mr devil, fine, have your way. No, never give in – regardless of what you see or don’t see. Stand firm. Ephesians 6v11-17 (v11-15 is below) tells us to take on the armor which God supplies so that we can stand in the evil day, going on to tell us about this armor. Beloved, we do not have physical opponents that we fight, but spiritual. It is important to recognize this, and plan accordingly. Don’t be casual about things. Be sober, be cautious, be vigilant, be alert, be prayerful. Don’t be a “que sera sera” (what will be will be) Christian, instead seek God’s will and approach on each and every situation. Finally, remember James 4v7 (AMP) says “So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.” The Message puts it this way “So let God work His will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper.”

Supplementary Text
“Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God, And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.”  Ephesians 6v11- 15(AMP)

Put the Word into practice: are there issues in your life weighing in down, taunting you, take it up in prayer, submit yourself to God, repent of things you have done wrongly and have kept you away from His presence, then resist the devil, and watch him scamper! Also, take time to put on that armor that God gives (see Ephesians 6v11-17)
