Like precious faith J

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior.” 2 Peter 1v1 (NLT)

“Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:” 2 Peter 1v1 (KJV)

Hallelujah. Beloved, we have a precious faith, a valuable faith. As Simon Peter writes, it is a faith that we share with him, and with those who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ and have gone on before us. This faith is given to us not by the works of our hands or our own righteousness, but because of the righteousness, the justice and fairness of our Lord Jesus Christ, even as Romans 10v17 (NLT) reminds us that “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” This faith we have is precious, and should not be handled lightly. Hebrews 11v6 (NLT) saying “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him.” Hallelujah. On a different note brethren, just as Simon Peter identified himself as a slave for Jesus Christ, remember that a price was paid for your salvation. Jesus gave His life for you and I. God sent His Son to die for us (John 3v16). 1 Corinthians 6v20 (AMP) saying “You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.” And 1 Corinthians 7v23 (NIV) says “You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.”

Supplementary Text
“Because of Christ and our faith in Him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence.” Ephesians 3v12 (NLT)

Prayer
Our heavenly Father, we thank You so very much for this day that You have made that we can rejoice and be glad in You. We thank You for the salvation of our souls. We bless You for the righteousness, fairness and justice of our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we now have precious faith. We thank You for all those that have gone on before us and we pray that You will keep us in You until the very end in Jesus name, amen.
