You are not alone in this!!!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset – rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world.” 1 Peter 5v9 (AMP)

“Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are” 1 Peter 5v9 (NLT)

From the verse above, one thing we are told to remember even as we resist the devil and stand firm in our faith, is that our Christian brothers and sisters, all over the world – in Asia, Africa, America, Europe, Australia, Oceania… are going through the same sufferings. You are not alone in this fight of faith. Ecclesiastes 1v9-10 (AMP) says “The thing that has been – it is what will be again, and that which has been done is that which will be done again; and there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a thing of which it may be said, See, this is new? It has already been, in the vast ages of time [recorded or unrecorded] which were before us.” Our brethren are currently undergoing sufferings as we are because of their faith in God. But those before us have also gone through what we are now going through – and God saw them through. Beloved, God will not fail you. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13v8). Another thing is that with this knowledge, we can remember to pray for the body of Christ – those we know closely, and those who we don’t know. Ephesians 6v18 (MSG) says “In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” So even for those we do not know, and those we do know, we should remember 1 Peter 5v9 that tells us that they are going through sufferings like us, and pray for them.

Supplementary Text
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).” Ephesians 6v18 (AMP)

Prayer
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word. We lift up body of Christ all over the world to You. Father we pray that You will strengthen the body, keep us in You, help us to be an encouragement to one another o God. Help us to be united and to pray for one another, in Jesus name, amen.
