The presence of the Lord (5)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“For I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, that our forefathers were all under and protected by the cloud [in which God’s presence went before them], and every one of them passed safely through the [Red] Sea,” 1 Corinthians 10v1 (AMP)

The presence of God gives and ensures protection from the enemy. 1 John 4v4 (KJV) tells us “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” God showed His mighty hand on behalf of the Israelites against the Egyptians, delivering them with great signs and wonders. There are many things that we cannot see, that God protects us from. Indeed Psalm 124v1-8 (KJV) rings through which says “If it had not been for the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us: Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” Beloved, trust in the Lord for safety and protection. Don’t trust in man and do not be afraid. “Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God” Psalm 20v7 (AMP). Seek the protection of the Lord.

Supplementary Text
“[The Futility of Relying on Egypt] What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 31v1 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, the Lord of hosts, the mighty Man of war, the Commander of heaven’s armies. I thank You for being my shield and protection. You are my refuge and my fortress and I put my trust and hope in You in Jesus name, amen. Please keep me and my family safe and under the shadow of the Most High in Jesus name, amen.
