His Guidance

Dearly beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. One of the things that children of God enjoy is His divine guidance. In fact, Romans 8v14 (NIV) says “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” Hallelujah. God is so willing to guide us in the way that we should go. In Psalm 32v8 (TLB), the Bible says “I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.” This verse tells us that while there are many paths we can take, the Lord will lead us on the best pathway for our very own lives. In verse 9, He however cautions that “Don’t be like a senseless horse or mule that has to have a bit in its mouth to keep it in line!”  

Similarly in Proverbs 3v5-6 (KJV) we are told to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” The Living Bible puts it this way “If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.  In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”

Prayer

Lord, we thank You for Your Word and Your willingness to lead us. We commit to You our plans, purposes and pursuits and ask that You lead and direct us. We pray we will be extremely sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit always in Jesus name, amen.
