Faith in God – Memories
Dearly
beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. In 2 Timothy 1v5
(AMPC), Paul writes to Timothy that “I am calling up memories of your sincere
and unqualified faith (the leaning of your entire personality on God in Christ
in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), [a faith]
that first lived permanently in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your
mother Eunice and now, I am [fully] persuaded, [dwells] in you also].” Over the
next few days, we will be breaking down this verse.
Do
you have memories of your faith in God? Can you recall a time when you trusted
in God for something and He came through for you? I have loads of memories of
God coming through for me. We have loads of examples in the Bible of God coming
through for His people. God hasn’t changed. He is the same yesterday, today and
forever, and He will continue to come through for you and cause you to have and
develop more memories of your walk in Him in Jesus name. I remember someone
sharing with me the memory of a group of them who had to travel for an
international conference. They had been working on getting their visa for
several days, but it wasn’t until the day they travelled that they had their
interview in the morning, returned in the afternoon for the visa and rushed to
the airport afterwards to catch their flight. They could have given up and lost
hope along the way. But they didn’t. Don’t ever give up your hope or your faith
in God.
Prayer
Father,
we thank You for the memories we have of Your power, wisdom and goodness. Thank
You so much for being so dependable. We love and appreciate You in Jesus name,
amen.
