The Spirit of Christ

Dearly beloved, I trust this finds you well and bubbling in the Lord. When Jesus was about to leave the earth, He reassured the disciples that they would not be left as orphans, that He will come to them, and that He will send His Spirit to them. John 16v7 (AMP) says “But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your hearts [taken complete possession of them]. However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you].” Hallelujah.

As believers, we get to enjoy the fellowship of the Spirit. John 14v16-18 (AMPC) also tells us that “And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever— Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you [constantly] and will be in you.” As a child of God, you have the Spirit of God in you and with you. He will help you, strengthen you and standby you. He will guide you into all truth and help you to pray aright. Hallelujah. Do you fellowship with the Holy Spirit? Are you in communion with Him?

Prayer

Father, we thank You because it is for our benefit that the Holy Spirit was given We pray for a deep fellowship with You precious Holy Spirit of God. We love You and we appreciate You. Do guide us into all truth, in Jesus name, amen.
