26 January 2010 – Good fruits

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His grace and His love for us. We thank Him for another beautiful day that He has made that we can rejoice and do rejoice and are glad in. We thank Him for trees, plants and fruits. The Bible tells us that:

“A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:…” Proverbs 12v14
“A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth:…” Proverbs 13v2

“Wise words bring many benefits,…” Proverbs 12v14 (New Living Translation)
“From the fruit of his words a man shall be satisfied with good,…” Proverbs 12v14 (Amplified Bible)
“Well-spoken words bring satisfaction;…” Proverbs 12v14 (The Message)
“People will be rewarded for what they say,…” Proverbs 12v14 (New Century Version)
“From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things…” Proverbs 12v14 (New International Version).

Before we get a fruit, a seed needs to be planted and germinate. Fruits are sometimes edible, and sometimes not, and are usually bigger than their seed. How do we eat good by the fruit of our mouth?

The Bible says that “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” Matthew 7v16

That is, if you plant grapes, you reap grapes, if you plant thistles, you reap thistles. One of the things that the mouth sows, is speech. Therefore one asks, what have you been sowing, knowing that what you sow, will determine the fruit you will reap. Now, one can sow seeds of grace, of love, of kindness, of forgiveness, of compassion, of faith … sweet seeds, that would give birth to fruits of grace, of love, of kindness, of forgiveness, of compassion, much plumper and often times bigger than the original seed and by which you will be able to eat good by later. A word of encouragement here, a smile there, a hello there, … good seeds all the way.

On the other hand, you can sow seeds of hatred, malice, strife, talebearing, gossip, anger, annoyance, unforgiveness, of doubt, of unbelief … and guess what fruit will come back to you… the same things with all its plumpness.

Be careful what you are saying. Make careful effort to sow seeds of which you will eat good and be satisfied by its fruit in the future. For instance, you can speak into your day, days, months, years, situation, life, marriages, children (born and still to come) like – this day shall be one of joy, I thank You Father because it shall be one of breakthrough, I praise You because I will walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lusts of the flesh, I thank You because my children shall be taught of the Lord and great shall be their peace, I appreciate You because I shall be blessed in my going out and in my coming in, I love You because You first loved me and because of Your Spirit which sheds about the love of God in my heart and enables me to walk in love…. Hallelujah.

Have a blessed day.

Note: Singles, start speaking good things into your marriages
