Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego – Accusers

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies and His grace over our lives.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were facing a great challenge. The king had put up a graven image for them to bow to, and for them, they bowed to no other God but the Most High God, just as we as Christians serve no other God but God. To make matters worse, the accusers were introduced into the setting.

“Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.
They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.
Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:
And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.”

These are the accusers. Those who would add fire to the mix of things, who would point out to the authorities that be that this person is different from us, they are not doing things the way that we do things, people who generally would cause a storm to gather concerning you due to the accusations they would bring against you. The devil in Revelations 12v10 is called “the accuser of our brethren, which accused them before our God day and night.”

So we have accusers who we see in the physical, and in the spiritual as well. But for every accusation that comes our way, we have One who justifies us, even as the Bible says:

“Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Romans 8v33-34 (King James Version)

“Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]

Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?” Romans 8v33-34 (Amplified Bible)

“Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for His own? No one – for God Himself has given us right standing with Himself.
Who then will condemn us? No one – for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and He is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.” Romans 8v33-34 (New Living Translation)

Hallelujah. And remember “For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.” (2 Corinthians 10v18); so, seek His approval, not that of your accusers.

Have a very blessed day!
