Delight!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His grace, His love for us and for watching over us. He is indeed an awesome and amazing God, who knows all things and is totally dependable. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37v4 that:
“Delight thyself also in the LORD: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalm 37v4 (KJV)
“Enjoy serving the LORD, and He will give you what you want.” Psalm 37v4 (New Century Version)
“Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalm 37v4 (New Living Translation)
“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.” Psalm 37v4 (Amplified Bible)
The Bible here is telling us to take delight in God, enjoy serving Him. Some synonyms for delight include enjoyment, pleasure, happiness, glee, joy, enchantment, amusement, satisfaction, and take pleasure in. Enjoy bonding with the Lord. Be amused in His presence. Be joyful at the remembrance of His name. Be happy to be His child. Take delight in Him. And the Bible says, He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Because He is just awesome like that. And if you are having a hard time delighting in God, you can ask Him and say Lord, I really want to delight in You, I want to be joyful in You, I want to be satisfied with You. Help me to delight in You in Jesus name, amen.
