What are you following?

How are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. How was yesterday, today, I do hope you are rejoicing in your work, for that is a gift of God (Ecclesiastes 5:19: Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portions, and to rejoice in his labour; this is the gift of God.)
Now the Bible tells us that:
“Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.” 1 Timothy 4v1 (New Living Translation)
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;” 1 Timothy 4v1 (King James Version)
“BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach,” 1 Timothy 4v1 (Amplified Bible)
Some definitions for seduce are:
- to lead astray, as from duty, rectitude, or the like; corrupt
- to lead or draw away, as from principles, faith, or allegiance
- to win over, attract, entice
Proverbs 19v27 says:
“Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.” (KJV)
Another translation says:
“Cease, my son, to hear instruction only to ignore it and stray from the words of knowledge.” (AMP)
Yet another says:
“If you stop listening to instruction, my child, you will turn your back on knowledge.” (NLT)
Beloved, who are you listening to? Who are you following? There are seducing spirits and demonic teachings that want to lead you away from the faith, and in the last days, some will turn from the faith to follow these things? Who are you following? Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 11v1:
“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
Please do not follow anyone or anything that is not following Christ. Please be like the Berean Christians who received the Word with readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so (Acts 17v11)
The Lord wants to speak to you yourself. Search the Scripture yourself. Be that workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word for today. Father Lord, I want to spend eternity with You. Please keep me from having itchy ears, help me to be sensitive to what Your Spirit is saying, give me a deeper longing for You and Your Word, that I will study and know what You are saying at all times, that I will not be deceived or seduced even in these days in Jesus name, amen.
P.S: Can we pray for movie stars, film writers, producers, directors - Hollywood, Bollywood, Nollywood, Independent .... that God will send labourers to as many as do not know Him, and that He will do a mighty work in their lives in Jesus name, amen.
