Food for thought!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His grace, His mercy, His love for us and how He is willing to guide us. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 4v7 (this was Paul writing to Timothy):

“But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.” 1 Timothy 4v7 (King James Version)

“Do not waste time arguing over godless ideas and old wives’ tales. Instead, train yourself to be godly.” 1 Timothy 4v7 (New Living Translation)

“But refuse and avoid irreverent legends (profane and impure and godless fictions, mere grandmothers’ tales) and silly myths, and express your disapproval of them.” 1 Timothy 4v7 (Amplified Bible)

“Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion. Exercise daily in God – no spiritual flabbiness, please!” 1 Timothy 4v7 (The Message)

“But do not follow foolish stories that disagree with God’s truth, but train yourself to serve God.” 1 Timothy 4v7 (New Century Version)

“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.” 2 Corinthians 10v4-6 (New International Version)

Have a very blessed day.
