An Example in Prayer!
Hello everyone,
How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. I am reminded of a song I learnt when I was younger, yup, another one. It says - prayer is the key, prayer is the key, prayer is the master key, Jesus started with prayer and ended with prayer, prayer is the master key. Luke 18v1 says:
Primary Text: Luke 18v1
“ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).” Luke 18v1 (AMP)
I wonder what it was Jesus prayed about when He went on the 40 days of fasting, being led of the Spirit (Matthew 4v1). Jesus set us an example in praying. He was constantly praying. He prayed in the morning. He would go to a mountain to pray (Luke 9v28); when He was being baptized, He was praying (Luke 3v21). Luke 6v12 tells us how “He went into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” He prayed for Peter, when He knew how satan wanted to sift him like wheat (Luke 22v31-32). Even now, He continues to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7v25). What a wonderful God! We know we are encouraged to “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5v17). We thank God that we can pray in the Spirit, and that the Spirit helps us with our infirmities, because we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8v26). Prayer is communicating with God, and we do so in the name of Jesus. By so doing we acknowledge His supremacy and Lordship; invite Him into our situations, and to fight for us; seek His counsel; build intimacy with Him ... Beloved:

“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).” Ephesians 6v18 (AMP)
Father, we thank You for Your Word. Jesus we thank You for the example You set for us. We pray Father that You will pour upon us the Spirit of grace and supplications in Jesus name, amen.
