A New Song for the Broken Hearted (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4v18). Brokenhearted being defined as burdened with great sorrow, grief, or disappointment (www.dictionary.com). Jarius had come to meet Jesus, to tell him that his daughter was sick. While he was still with Jesus, some people came to tell him that he should not bother the Master anymore, because his daughter had died.

Primary Text: Mark 5v35-36
“While He yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further? As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.” Mark 5v35-36 (KJV)

Perhaps you are on the verge of a brokenheart, or perhaps you have just heard some awful news, or perhaps circumstances around you show that everything is dire and in despair, or perhaps you think you have gone too deep into the situation that there is no way out. Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever can still bring life, and joy to that situation, like He did with Jarius’ daughter. There was even a woman Jesus met at the well in Samaria that had had 5 husbands, and the person she was living with at that point in time was not her husband. You can imagine the reputation that she had. The disappointment, the hurt, the shame she must have suffered. But Jesus said, He could give her living water that she would never thirst again (John 4). Today, if you are burdened under a load of grief, shame, or disappointment, let Jesus heal your heart. Cry out to Him, and let Him give you a new song.

Supplementary Text
“Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new things! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43v18-19 (AMP)

Lord Jesus, I come to You with my burdens. Please heal my heart. Change me from the inside out. Let me sing a new song, in Jesus name, amen.
