His Presence

Hello everyone,

How are you today? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: Psalm 105v4
“Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence [continually] evermore.” Psalm 105v4 (AMP)

In a world where there are so many noises and things competing with our time and for our attention, we sometimes neglect the most important things. One book title says “Too Busy Not to Pray: Slowing Down to be with God.” Moses understood the importance of having God’s presence with him, and the Bible says: “Then Moses said to him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that You are pleased with me and with Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?” (Exodus 33v15&16, NIV). Now we know as children of God, that the Holy Spirit of God dwells in us and is with us (John 14v7; 1 Corinthians 3v16), but are we conscious of His presence? Do we actively seek to be in the presence of God? In His presence there is joy (Psalm 16v11), safety (Psalm 91), direction (Exodus 23v20; Acts 13v2). In this year, it is important that we seek God’s face, His strength, His presence, His rest, and His way of doing things. We seek His face by fellowshipping with Him and other believers, by prayer, and through the Word. Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you (James 4v8). He is our Shepherd (Psalm 23; John 10v11) and wants to give us direction; revealing to us things we do not know of when we call upon Him (Jeremiah 33v3).

Supplementary Text
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and [insistently] require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27v4 (AMP)

Father, I thank You. Please let Your presence be with me and grant me rest in Jesus name, amen.
