An Everlasting Kingdom
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God
for His goodness, faithfulness, mercy and love. He is indeed faithful. We thank
God that Jesus died for us, and is risen, and one day, we too shall be
resurrected upon His coming. What a joyful hope for believers to look forward
to.
Primary Text
“But
there is an order to this resurrection: Christ was raised as the first of the
harvest; then all who belong to Christ will be raised when He comes back. After
that the end will come, when He will turn the Kingdom over to God the Father,
having destroyed every ruler and authority and power. For Christ must reign
until He humbles all His enemies beneath His feet.” 1 Corinthians 15v23-25
(NLT)
“But
each in his own rank and turn: Christ (the Messiah) [is] the firstfruits, then
those who are Christ’s [own will be resurrected] at His coming. After that
comes the end (the completion), when He delivers over the kingdom to God the
Father after rendering inoperative and abolishing every [other] rule and every
authority and power. For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all
[His] enemies under His feet.” 1 Corinthians 15v23-25 (AMP)
A
chorus I like says “Jesus shall reign forevermore, He shall reign forevermore.”
In the verses above, we find that there is a time coming after resurrection
whereby Jesus will hand over the Kingdom to God the Father, after He has
abolished and destroyed every other authority. It means, there is an expiry
date for every authority, ruler, and power that exists today, when they will be
annihilated by our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Daniel 7v13-14 (AMP) says “I
saw in the night vision, and behold, on the clouds of the heavens came One like
a Son of man, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.
And there was given Him [the Messiah] dominion and glory and kingdom, that all
peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an
everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom is one which
shall not be destroyed.” Amen.
Supplementary Text
“And
in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which
shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people,
but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand
for ever. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain
without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the
silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come
to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof is
sure.” Daniel 2v44-45 (KJV)
Prayer
Father
in heaven, we thank You and exalt You. We declare that worthy is the Lamb that
was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour,
and glory, and blessing…. Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto
Him that sitteth upon the throne and unto the Lamb for ever and ever, amen.
(Revelation 5v12-13).
