The fear of the LORD vs. the fear of man
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“The
fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts his
confidence in the Lord is safe and set on high.” Proverbs 29v25 (AMP)
It
is a mistake to fear man; and not fear God. Yes, we do not see the Almighty God
and the person in front of you may seem more scary at that point in time, but
the knowledge of God will let you know that it is a dreadful thing to fall into
the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10v31). Ask Pharoah! When Moses told
Pharoah, that the LORD God of Israel said “Let My people go that they may go
and hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.” Pharoah’s response was “Who is the
LORD, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither
will I let Israel go.” (Exodus 5v1-2, KJV). Some 10 plagues later, Pharoah
literally drove the people of Israel out of his land. He had had a taste of the
magnificence and power of who the living God was. Mattthew 10v28 (KJV) “And
fear not them which kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but
rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Who or
what is it that is frightening you this day? Ask Nebuchadnezzar. He had an
encounter with the God of Shadrach, Mesach and Abednego, Hebrew children who
refused to bow to the golden idol of himself that he had set up. He asked that
the fiery furnace be heated up 7 times more than usual, and the men thrown in
bound. Daniel 3v24-25 (KJV) says “Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished,
and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, Did not we cast
three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the
king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in
the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is
like the Son of God.” Hallelujah! What situation seems so hot and is asking you
to bow down! Report to the Most High God, who can show up in the midst of every
fire and see that you come out without even the flames smelling on you.
Prayer
Go
ahead and report every threatening situation to the Lord.
