The blood of Jesus – a defense!

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12v10-11 (KJV)

I heard a message yesterday, which shed more light for me on the power in the blood of Jesus. Basically, the pastor spoke of putting an hedge of protection by the blood of Jesus not only around your family, things e.t.c. but also around your mind, emotions, will, body and so on. For example, with the blood of Jesus as a defense around your soul (mind, emotions, will), it makes it harder for the enemy to keep playing around with them. How many times for example do you find yourself getting so emotional, or down, or distraught, fighting thoughts of guilt and despair. The blood of Jesus is a defense for you. We see how the children of Israel were instructed to put the blood of the Passover lamb over their doorposts. For the Lord said “For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment [proving their helplessness]. I am the Lord. The blood shall be for a token or sign to you upon [the doorposts of] the houses where you are, [that] when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall be upon you when I smite the land of Egypt” (Exodus 12v12-13, AMP). The blood of Jesus is our defense. It separates the believer from evil!

Prayer

Let’s go ahead and put the hedge of the blood of Jesus upon ourselves, our minds, emotions, will, life, destiny, family, children, ministry and all that pertains to us.
