Recipients of GRACE, out of His fullness
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“And
of His fullness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1v16 (KJV)
“We
have all benefited from the rich blessings He brought to us – blessing upon
blessing heaped upon us!” John 1v16 (TLB)
“For
out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were
all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon
spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.” John
1v16 (AMP)
Hallelujah!
Glory to God for His Son who He sent to die for us. One of the blessings we
have received because of our Lord Jesus Christ is grace. John 1v17 (AMP) says
“For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor
and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.” The Living Bible
puts it this way: “For Moses gave us only the Law with its rigid demands and
merciless justice, while Jesus Christ brought us loving forgiveness as well.”
Hallelujah! Ephesians 2v1-10 (ERV) tells us: “In the past you were spiritually
dead because of your sins and the things you did against God. Yes, in the past
your lives were full of those sins. You lived the way the world lives,
following the ruler of the evil powers that are above the earth. That same
spirit is now working in those who refuse to obey God. In the past all of us
lived like that, trying to please our sinful selves. We did all the things our
bodies and minds wanted. Like everyone else in the world, we deserved to suffer
God’s anger just because of the way we were. But God is rich in mercy, and He
loved us very much. We were spiritually dead because of all we had done against
Him. But He gave us new life together with Christ. (You have been saved by
God’s grace.) Yes, it is because we are a part of Christ Jesus that God raised
us from death and seated us together with Him in the heavenly places. God did
this so that His kindness to us who belong to Christ Jesus would clearly show
for all time to come the amazing richness of His grace. I mean that you have
been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a
gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is
nothing to boast about. God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made
us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things He had
already planned for us to do.”
Prayer
If
today you have not allowed yourself to enjoy this grace that is available for
you, and you do not know Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, and you want
to have a personal relationship with Him; if you recognize that you are indeed
a sinner and in need of a Savior and ready to embrace the salvation that is
available because of Christ’s death on the cross, you can say this prayer:
Heavenly
Father, I come to You today, confessing that I am a sinner. I am sorry for all
that I have done and ask that You forgive me for all of my sins and cleanse me
from all unrighteousness. Lord Jesus, I ask that You be Lord and Saviour over
my life. I believe that You came to die for my sins, and that God raised You
from the dead. Thank You Father for translating me out of the kingdom of
darkness into the Kingdom of Your dear Son. Thank You for sealing me with Your
Holy Spirit of promise. Please keep me till the end in You, and may Your Name
alone be glorified in my life, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
If you
said this prayer today, know that you are now a child of God and that there is
much jubilation in heaven because of you. Begin to attend a Bible-believing
church, and keep the faith! Welcome into God’s family.
