Kings and Priests

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.” Matthew 6v6 (AMP)

We thank God for we are His children. 1 John 3v1 (AMP) says “See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.” One thing that children usually have with their fathers is access; such access that outsiders and strangers do not usually have. In this light, it makes a lot of sense to see how we have been made priests and kings unto our God. Revelations 1v6 (KJV) says “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Jesus has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, our Father. As a priest, we stand in the gap, interceding between God and man. As a child, we are better able to pray as a priest because we have a better understanding of who the Father is, what He enjoys, likes and dislikes and can then stand in the gap for others. It is an awesome privilege that we have been given. Jesus is Himself our great High Priest. Of Him Hebrews 7v25 (AMP) says “Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.” We therefore join Him in this work of priesthood. Hallelujah.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for I am Your child. Thank You Jesus for making me a priest unto God and Thy Father. We honour Lord. We pray that we will indeed be true priests and honour You in all that we do in Jesus name, amen.
